Whereby it is agreed as follows:

That the Breeder will sell and the Purchaser will buy the Kitten detailed above at the price of

The Purchaser is satisfied with the observed health status of the Kitten at the time of sale.

The Kitten is registered in the breeders name. This needs to be sent to the address on the back of the
registration document. This will be forwarded to the Purchaser when it is received from TICA. If the Purchaser wishes to rehome the Kitten for any reason, the Breeder maintains first refusal for the life of the Kitten. First refusal means that the Purchaser must offer the Kitten to the Breeder first. The Kitten shall not be sold, given, willed or donated to any pet shop, establishment or any other person without the Breeder’s prior written consent. Permission to transfer ownsership is not guaranteed and will only be given to specific suitable third parties. Under no circumstances shall the Kitten/Cat ever be turned over to a pet shop, animal shelter, humane society, cat rescue program, research facility, or any and all similar types of facilities engaged in the business of animals, for whatever reasons or purposes. The Purchaser is to keep the Kitten as an indoor, household pet only in appropriate conditions for it’s health and welfare. The Kitten is to be fed an appropriate diet for it’s age and condition. The Purchaser promises to never have the Kitten declawed. Purchaser agrees to take the kitten to a qualified veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the kitten from the breeder. Failure to take the kitten to a qualified veterinarian within this time frame will constitute a breach of contract, releasing Willetteragdol from any and all financial responsibilities for said kitten and voiding the warranty offered by Willetteragdol. The Purchaser understands that if there is a breach to any of the terms of this agreement, or if the Kitten is neglected, maltreated, or failing to receive adequate medical care, the Purchaser is to immediately surrender the Kitten to the Breeder unconditionally and without financial restitution or compensation. If it becomes necessary to take legal action to repossess the Kitten, all travel and necessary legal expenses shall be the sole responsibility of the Purchaser. If the Kitten is sold as having show potential, the Breeder cannot guarantee success in competition. The Kitten shall be kept as an indoor only cat. This is due to the trusting nature of these cats, and the fact that they are unable to defend themselves against attack from other animals sufficiently. The Kitten shall not be taken outside unless necessary, and only in an appropriate travel carrier. The Kitten will never be taken outside to play, or walk on a leash or in a carriage. These cats are valuable and unfortunately, it is not unknown for them to be stolen. The Breeder insures that the Kitten has been vaccinated and examined by a qualified veterinarian and is in full health to the best of the Breeder’s knowledge. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to continue to cover the full cost of the Kitten and to ensure that the Kitten is able to receive the best veterinary care if necessary in the future. The Breeder’s responsibility is limited to a replacement kitten only. No cash refunds are given. Please refer to our Health Guarantee which is included and forms part of this agreement.

Health Guarantee

Congenital/Hereditary Defects

If the Kitten should die of a congenital defect (not a disease or accident) within the first twelve months of it’s life, the Breeder will replace the Kitten free of charge with a kitten of comparable quality and value when available and upon the production by the Purchaser of a post-mortem documentissued by a veterinarian identifying the cause of death. The Breeder reserves the right to have the post-mortem examination confirmed by their veterinarian.

General Health

The Breeder guarantees that the Kitten is free of Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus at the time of sale. The Breeder guarantees that the Kitten has been wormed, vaccinated and examined by a qualified veterinarian and found to be in good health at the time of sale.

This health guarantee is valid for 72 hours after purchase, providing that there has been no other contact with any cats or animals and that the Kitten has not had access to the outdoors during this time. The health guarantee is also reliant on the Kitten being checked by a qualified veterinarian who documents that the Kitten is not in good health. If illness occurs within 72 hours of purchase, the Purchaser will return the Kitten to the Breeder within 24 hours. Subject to the Breeder’s veterinarian assessing the Kitten’s welfare and health status and verifying the absence of accidental poisoning or physical damage to the Kitten, the Breeder will replace the Kitten free of charge with a kitten of comparable quality and value as soon as one is available. Please note that although we at Willetteragdol test for genetic diseases, certain illnesses such as FIP can lie dormant and be brought out by extreme stress. After the 72 hour window stated above, Willetteragdol will not be held responsible for any non-genetic illnesses and will not be required to refund any monies to the Purchaser or be required to replace the Kitten.

The Breeder reserves the right to cancel the sale of a kitten at any time. If a sale is cancelled by The Breeder prior to the Purchaser receiving the kitten, all monies paid to the Breeder will be refunded to The Purchaser. If the sale of a kitten is cancelled by The Purchaser prior to The Purchaser receiving the kitten, all monies will be refunded by The Breeder, minus the $300 non-refundable deposit. Please note: once the Purchaser chooses a kitten, the deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable. Once the Breeder notifies the Purchaser that the kitten is ready to be picked up, The Purchaser must arrange to pick up the kitten within one week, unless otherwise agreed upon by The Breeder. If The Purchaser fails to pick up the kitten during the allotted time or make alternate arrangements with The Breeder, The Breeder will assume that The Purchaser wishes to cancel the sale. The sale will therefore be cancelled and all monies, minus the $300 non-deposit will be returned to The Purchaser.

*Please note: We have instructed you, the purchaser, of which type of kitten/cat food and litter that is used by Willetteragdol. Please understand that changing your kitten’s diet abruptly will cause severe diarrhea and dehydration. We do not recommend changing your kitten’s diet until they are fully acclimated into their new home. If you do choose to change their food, do extremely slowly. If you have any questions, you can contact us at Willetteragdol anytime after 2pm est. If you have an emergency, you can contact us at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are always available for our parents who we consider our extended family, even long after we stop breeding.

Please read, initial after each segment and sign below.

Please bring a TSA-approved cat carrier with you when you come to the house  to pick up your kitten. Once pickup/delivery has been arranged, please make  an appointment with your veterinarian within one week of having kitten  home. Initial______

KITTEN’S FIRST WEEK HOME

Once your new kitten leaves our house, the baby is going to be under stress from  leaving his or her brothers, sisters, and familiar surroundings, and the kitten’s immune system will be triggered by this stress. Initial______

To minimize stress, please give your kitten as much safety and security as possible.  The best way to make this transition fast and easy is to keep them in a designated bedroom for 7 days. It will take the kitten about a week to start to feel secure with  their new environment, including food, water, litter box, scratching post, and you. Please keep your kitten in a bedroom with someone to sleep with overnight!
Do NOT leave kitten alone. Initial______

Once kitten is settled in and is showing interest and affection, you may carry him  around outside the bedroom, but do not let him wander around on his own. After the 7 days, you may open the  door and let the kitten venture out on his own but always stay near him. They will  be inclined to follow you and stay by you until they feel more secure in this new  environment. A cat or kitten doesn't need a lot of space to run and play—they need  your security above all. If your kitten is very social in the beginning (just like with  humans, some are a little more outgoing than others), you may carry your new kitten around with you, so they can look around but still be secure in your arms.  Initial______

During the first week, also limit kitten’s exposure to only those people who live in  your home. Your kitten needs time to adjust to his new immediate family, so it is  best to not entertain extended family and friends at this time. If you have children,  please always supervise them around your kitten. Also, try to ensure that they  remain calm around your kitten and to wash their hands before handling him.  Children, shoes from outside, other pets, and other factors can introduce parasites,  viruses, and bacteria. Your home is clean, but your kitten is very delicate and  susceptible to getting sick. Please be careful about anywhere the kitten goes and  wash hands before holding. Initial______

LITTER

Your kitten may not use the litter box right away. Kittens need an open-tray litter  box near their bed. This is very important. Kittens wait until the last minute to use a litter box, so it needs to be close to the bed to avoid accidents. Remember they are babies with tiny bladders. Do not remove the bedroom litter box until you know the kitten is not using it at all anymore. If you plan to move the litter box after the first week, do it 1 inch per day. It may take a year. But if you scoop your boxes every day, you should not have an odor in your bedroom or anywhere. We suggest non-scented scoop able litter. Please scoop twice a day. I have had numerous families call me with  “emergencies,” only to find out that they moved the litter box or didn’t follow these instructions. Also, the rule of thumb with litter boxes is to have 1.5 letterboxes per cat  (so 2 cats = 3 litter boxes). Initial______

OTHER PETS

If you have other cats or dogs, please introduce them to your new kitten after 7 days. Your older cats and new kitten will already have been acquainted by smelling each other under the door and on you. During this time, routinely take some litter from your new kitten's litter box and place it into your older cat's litter box. Initial______

FRAGRANCE

Please avoid perfume, cologne, air fresheners, diffusers, and most artificially  scented products for the first few weeks (or preferably for the foreseeable  future). Any household products with fragrance can be harmful or even toxic. Air fresheners, plug in diffusers, and fabric softeners can be harmful or even toxic. Most aerosols are toxic! Clean your litter boxes with Dawn Dish Soap and a scrub brush. Make sure all cleaning products are pet safe and floors are rinsed of chemicals and dry before allowing kitten to roam. Initial______

OTHER

After the initial separation period in a bedroom, kitten is now free to roam. Please have multiple food and water sources and feed wet food on separate plates. Please never feed kittens human food or cat treats. Freeze dried chicken is a treat until they  get older.  If you  have plants check to make sure they are safe, including flower arrangements. Do not brush their teeth with human toothpaste—it’s toxic to cats.
